beabadoobee has announced her Australian return, touring across Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney in March 2027, presented by Handsome Tours, triple j and Laneway Presents. Rife with anticipation for her forthcoming album Pylon, due Sep 18 via Dirty Hit / Interscope.
Part of her biggest run of tour dates ever for The Powerlines Tour, beabadoobee will take to Afterpay Arena (Sydney) following international stops at Madison Square Garden, The Kia Forum, The O2 Arena and more. Australian tickets are on sale Thu 10 Sep at 10 am local.
Set to deliver a career spanning set across her acclaimed albums This Is How Tomorrow Moves (UK #1, AU #6), Beatopia and Fake It Flowers, Laus has made clear this era is louder, angstier and grittier than anything she has shared as beabadoobee yet. She recently gave her string of singles ‘Sun Has Set’, ‘Switchblade’ and ‘Memories’ their live debut across recent appearances at Lollapalooza and Hinterland festivals, and the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
Bea’s live resume catapulted 2025 in with her “winsome” Coachella debut (The Guardian), a second Glastonbury appearance, recounted by Billboard as a “thrilling” homegrown set, a stadium run with Coldplay in the UK and the Laneway Festival tour locally. While in Melbourne, she and Clairo treated fans to a one-off rendition of their collaboration ‘Glue Song’, alongside a Bic Runga approved reinvention of ‘Sway’ for triple j’s Like A Version – “I love this version!”
Pylon, beabadoobee’s stark and striking fourth album is named for the electricity towers that dot every major artery in the world—the strong, spindly structures that reminded Beatrice Laus of her connection to friends and family at home while she was staring down extreme disconnection and isolation on tour over the past few years. A set of songs that began as diary entries and words that Laus thought she’d never say aloud.
The title can also be read as an allusion to Laus’ spiky, forceful new sound—the waves of distortion that crash and shatter across this record’s 14 songs, mirroring the intense crackle you hear when walking under power lines. The pylon is also a fitting symbol for an album that reckons with the repetitive anxieties of your mid-twenties: What if I’m always going to be this way? What if life is just pylon after pylon on the road?
